Youth Learn to Ride Program

Mountainview is once again planning on running the Youth Learn to Ride Program for 2025.

Please Note: For 2025, the Mountainview Cycling Club Youth Learn to Ride program will be happening on Thursday nights.

The learn to ride program (youth) is intended for riders aged 8-13 who already know how to ride their bikes in the general sense (e.g. can ride around their neighbourhood, know how to pedal, coast, brake, get on and off their bike comfortably), and who are looking to learn the skills of mountain biking on singletrack trails. Participants must have a mountain bike in good working order, and a properly fitting helmet.

The Mountainview Cycling Club Learn to Ride program is planned to run for 6 weeks (May 8th – June 12th). Any missed days due to weather will be made up at the end of the originally scheduled dates. The program will run from 5:30 – 6:30pm.

Mountainview Thursday Night Race Series

Join us Thursday nights for our weekly race series, a great way to improve your fitness and riding skills.

Races are a mix of both casual riders and more serious racers. All levels and abilities are welcome. Races are timed with results posted online so you can track your progress over the season. Come out for one race or a bunch of them, it’s up to you!

Three courses are available to choose from every week: Sport (Beginner), Super Sport (Intermediate), and Unlimited (Advanced) with race times ranging from 20 minutes (Sport) to 60 minutes (Unlimited).
