Devinci Demo Day May 10

Hi Everyone,

The MCC is hosting a Devinci demo day during our Tuesday night group ride at Copeland Forest, at 6pm. Come check out the latest and greatest rides that Devinci has to offer. These rigs are sold at Total Sports, so its a great chance to check out the product line before spending the cash! You must be an MCC member to participate in the ride.

Thursday Night Race Series Starts next Thursday!

Despite what the (seemingly) colder than average temperatures would have you believe, spring is here, and that means its time to race some bicycles!

The Mountainview Thursday Night Race Series kicks off its 9th season next Thursday, April 22nd. The Just for Fun category starts at 6:30, with all other categories starting at 7pm.

Also, unfortunately, I avoided for it as long as I could, but this year, we’ll have to charge HST. As such, the fees are going up. $10 per rider, 8$ for extra family members, and season’s passes available as well. Even with this price increase, the Mountainview race series is still the best deal around! (trust me, I did the research).

Hope to see you next Thursday!

2011 MCC Registration Form now posted!

The 2011 forms for the Mountainview Cycling Club are ready to go, and can be downloaded from the Club page. See the navigation bar to get to the aforementioned page.

If you haven’t been out yet, its getting warmer and nicer every day – time to get the dust off of your rig!

Mountainview - Horseshoe - Mountainview Enduro

The Mountainview Cycling Club is hosting a monstercross Enduro from Mountainview to Horseshoe and back. 90km of paved road, dirt road, and trail. Lots of work has gone into ensuring this will be an awesome event! Check it out here.

Rash of Bike Thefts - WTF!

Hi Everyone,
3 bikes have been stolen this week, all from garages. Brett and Colby Matthews had a Red/Carbon Opus hardtail with crossmax wheels, fox fork and Sram XX components, along with a Norco 125 dirt jumper stolen. In addition, CTS member Erica Vleer had a purple Kona Lisa HT with CTS sticker on it stolen. If you see any of these bikes, please report to the police, or to me @ mountaingoat17 at hotmail.com and we’ll try to get the bikes back to their rightful owners.

Everyone else…keep your bikes inside, lock them up, guard them carefully!

Race Series Finale Sept 2nd!

A mistake was noted on the Thursday Night Series page. The finale is Sept 2nd, not August 26th as suggested. Hope you can make it to the race!

Mountainview 9 Hour 2010 Complete!

Thanks to everyone who came out to this year’s edition of the 9 hour. Without your participation, the event would be really lonely! Hope to see you next year…results are posted here.

June 24 Race a Go!

All things considered, the trails at Mountainview are in shockingly good condition, and a quick cleanup of downed branches was all that was needed. With that in mind, tonights race is a go!

Note that as of this writing, Hwy 93 is still closed between Hwy 12 and Balm Beach Road, and a section of King St. is also closed. Please leave yourselves a few extra minutes to detour around. Also, the lights on Hwy 93 are still out nearing Mountainview, please use caution and treat these intersections with care.

All that said, looking forward to seeing everyone out to race!
