Mountainview Cycling Club is a group of local enthusiasts dedicated to cycling. We are affiliated with the Canadian Cycling Association, the main governing body of cycling in Canada. Our membership consists of all ages and abilities. We host weekly group rides, clinics, and opportunities to compete in mountain biking events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026 Schedule \u2013 Learn to Ride Program May 14th to June 25th, Thursdays at 5:30pm <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Learn to Ride Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mountainview is once again planning on running the Youth Learn to Ride Program for 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The learn to ride program (youth) is intended for riders aged 8-13 who already know how to ride their bikes in the general sense (e.g. can ride around their neighbourhood, know how to pedal, coast, brake, get on and off their bike comfortably), and who are looking to learn the skills of mountain biking on singletrack trails. Participants must have a mountain bike in good working order, and a properly fitting helmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mountainview Cycling Club Learn to Ride program is planned to run for 6 weeks (May 14th to June 25th<\/strong>). Any missed days due to weather will be made up at the end of the originally scheduled dates. The program will run from 5:30 \u2013 6:30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Learn to Ride program includes full season pass to race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mountainview Thursday Night Race Series<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Join us Thursday nights for our weekly race series, a great way to improve your fitness and riding skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First race night is May 14th, 2026!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JULY RACING BREAK:<\/strong> There will be a break from Thursday night racing during July.  Riding at Mountainview will still be happening on Thursday evenings during this break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Races are a mix of both casual riders and more serious racers. All levels and abilities are welcome. Races are timed with results posted online so you can track your progress over the season. Come out for one race or a bunch of them, it\u2019s up to you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three courses are available to choose from every week: Sport (Beginner), Super Sport (Intermediate), and Unlimited (Advanced) with race times ranging from 20 minutes (Sport) to 60 minutes (Unlimited).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-Members will be able to try pre-riding and racing on Thursdays. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mountainview Monday Night Group Ride<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Free for members and $5 for non-members to come out and ride the trails on Monday nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 2026, the Mountainview Cycling Club is not affiliated with Ontario Cycling (OC) and has separate insurance to cover riding at Mountainview. For those interested in obtaining an Ontario Cycling membership to ride at other locations, please visit: https:\/\/ontariocycling.org\/membership\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Club membership includes liability insurance and limited accident insurance through Oasis Insurance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
